WE ARE THE NEW LIFE

This Exhibition was designed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Theatre of the Blind and Visually Impaired New Life and is also part of the 12th BIT Festival official programme. Small in scope but rich in content, the Exhibition thematically presents the history and work of the New Life Theatre through texts, photographs and posters and also includes awards and multimedia content which provide more detailed information about the Theatre’s work in the form of selected newspaper articles, theatrical programmes and lists of the Theatre’s plays, actors and associates. The Exhibition is intended for everyone and has been adapted for people with disabilities through adapted Exhibition scenography, short legends in Braille, bilingual (Croatian and English) Exhibition texts in large print and translation in Croatian sign language. Zagreb City Museum, through multi-year inclusive programme, Tactile info points Dialogue through touch and cooperation with disability associations, has striven to contribute to the democratisation of society so that everyone is included in the cultural and wider social community. The Museum is a member of the COME-IN Label Network, an international museum community which promotes equality, inclusiveness and equity under the slogan ‘A Museum is a Place for Everyone’.
